First Half: Growing Companies.
Second Half: Enriching Midlife Journeys.

Peter Reek spent the first half of his life building companies, leading teams, and helping others rise. With over three decades of experience across leadership, recruitment, coaching, and brand strategy, he founded three consultancies and supported globally recognized clients including lululemon, Nintendo, Best Buy, Mercedes, and Princess Cruises. He scaled businesses across continents, guided mergers and acquisitions, and built a reputation for helping people and organizations thrive.

And then, he wanted more.

Selling his business sparked a personal shift — not just in career, but in calling. Peter returned to university to pursue a master’s in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching, focusing his research on what helps people flourish in midlife. What he discovered became the foundation of his next chapter.

Now, Peter is the founder of InHabit.Life, a growing community and ecosystem devoted to helping people navigate and embrace the possibilities of midlife. Through one-on-one coaching, group programs, retreats, and therapy partnerships, he supports people ready to trade autopilot for intention and aliveness.

His book, SHIFT – 7 Mindsets for an Inspired Midlife, is a reflection of that journey — a practical and soulful guide for those ready to lead themselves well, tell themselves the truth, and practice radical acceptance in the second half of life.

Peter lives in Vancouver, Canada, where he walks the coast, builds community, and keeps learning alongside the people he’s privileged to coach and collaborate with.

Praise for Shift: 7 Mindsets for an Inspired Midlife

This book felt like a conversation I didn’t know I needed.
Shift reminds us that change doesn’t start with a plan—it starts with a mindset. Peter Reek offers a deeply human invitation to rethink what’s possible when we loosen old definitions and imagine life on new terms. A wise, soulful, and beautifully written guide for anyone ready to reframe their story and answer, ‘Who am I now?’”

What is time, anyway? Peter Reek understands this:
that time is just time, and how old you are, what stage you’re at in the game, or how many years you have left are just a number in your head—real, but not that big of a deal, because at any point, you can begin again. You can cook it up all over again, you can step into the unknown with joy and, no matter how much you’re trembling, with the assurance that you’re going to be fine.”
Rob Bell
New York Times–bestselling author of fourteen books including Love Wins
Midlife isn’t a crisis—it’s a catalyst.
In Shift, Peter Reek invites readers to reimagine this pivotal life stage as a time of reinvention, purpose, and profound personal growth. I believe it shines a vital light on how the physical, emotional, and hormonal changes of this life phase—especially for women—reshape our relationships, identities, and ambitions. It creates a path to living inspired in the second half of life.”
